ADER Deputy Leader Kadooğlu Çifçi: ⁇ Fuel sector problems should be solved with common sense ⁇

Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi, Deputy Leader of the Association of Fuel Main Distribution Companies (ADER), brought the department's problems and analysis proposals to the language at the Power Hill held in Gaziantep.

Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Metropolitan Municipality and Gaziantep Fuel Dealers Association (GABDER) held within the scope of the Power Peak, ⁇ Overview of the Fuel Department ⁇ Speaking at the panel with bets ADER Deputy Leader Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi, stating that they are doing a troublesome job, ⁇ Fuel business is a difficult segment. We are trying to supply uninterrupted fuel to our country from all over the world. In addition, we are a very valuable department that tries to provide the best service and the most beautiful retailing 24/7 at our stations. But unfortunately, we are doing this job with very low profitability and in an environment where the competition is so heated.

Drawing attention to the problems of the fuel sector, ADER Deputy Leader Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi said that public and private branch cooperation is very valuable in the analysis of issues. Emphasizing that they are always on the side of common sense, Kadooğlu Çifçi said, ⁇ We always think that public, non-governmental organizations and private sector should support each other by meeting on the common ground. The decision of our regulators is invaluable. We always argue that the decisions taken should be analyzed. In each decision, the effect should be analyzed so that when this work is reflected to the players of the department, the mishaps are minimized.

⁇ Delay in ship supply ⁇

Reminding that they had some problems that negatively affected the department at the beginning of 2023, Kadooğlu Çifçi said that the problem was solved with the synergy created with the common mind. Kadooğlu Çifçi, who said that there have been delays related to ship supply in fuel shipment in recent periods, ⁇ We are facing some problems even though we try not to make our dealers feel this problem we are experiencing and to provide the most adequate service. While we are experiencing these problems, we also ask for the following basis, as if, in such a violent period, a reinforcement can be provided for national stock keeping in the past? Because today we are going through a thoughtful period as a department. Another issue we have as a branch is our expenses, which are our bleeding wounds. The costs of both distribution companies and our dealers are increasing every day. We're experiencing a brain drain in the department. Unfortunately, we are not able to attract well-educated young people to the department and we lose the experienced managers in the sector to the other departments. When this is the case, we can neither rejoice in the 21 percent growth in fuel oil nor can we develop work related to the stable going motorine. We have become a branch that has been overwhelmed and worn out with all the operation works.

⁇ National vehicle recognition system starts a new process for us ⁇

Kadooğlu Nergiz, who introduced what he sees as an application that will affect the branch of the National Vehicle Recognition System, stated that the public, NGOs and private sector do not meet at a common point in this bet, and our knowledge about the ⁇ National Vehicle Recognition System is still very incomplete and our belief in the possibility of this work is very low. We see a high probability that the cost increases will be reflected in the price of the latest consumer. In the last 15 years, fuel sales have increased by 50 percent and diesel and LPG by 125 percent. Moreover, despite the support of alternative fuels, this increase was achieved. These demand increases were achieved as a result of the studies carried out with the applied programs and branch resources. On top of all this effort, the National Vehicle Recognition System is starting a new process for us. We say it is starting, but now we have not witnessed its installation at a station, we do not know if there is any test for LPG. I mean, we don't exactly have an opinion. With this application, an additional cost of $20,000 per station is mentioned. We are talking about an investment of 2 thousand, 2 thousand 300 liras per vehicle. We are talking about the cost of approximately 10 billion TL for 12,500 stations and 16 billion TL for 8 million commercial vehicles. In addition, in the new year, these costs will increase at the rate of inflation. We think that it is not fair that this will increase at the annual inflation rate within three months after the announced prices. We're not so sure our department can handle this. To be honest, whoever does this job, whenever it is done, it is a huge investment. Meat does not leave the nail. We are a distribution company and dealers as a whole. If there is a cost added to which side, the other side will be affected. For this reason, we attach great importance to the fact that all stakeholders in the department act with a common mind for this kind of application, and we make the necessary effort to be positive for the benefit of our segment.

Kadooğlu Çifçi, who stated that they always support the effort with the unregistered, drew attention to the problems caused by the increase in the credit card usage rates in the sector and the burdens experienced with transportation costs, and gave information about ADER ⁇ 's analysis proposals.

In the panel moderated by GABDER President Mehmet Ergün Demir ⁇ in, Energy Market Regulatory Authority Deputy Leader Yılmaz Tamer, TOBB Turkey Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Assembly President Ahmet Erdem, Petroleum Works Employer Union President İmran Okumuş and Turkish Fuel Dealers Oil and Gas Companies Employer Union President Murat Bilgin also brought their opinions and proposals about the issues related to the sector to the language. ⁇ GAZİANTEP

Exporter Exports with Fear of Punishment

Çetin Tecdelioğlu, President of Istanbul Iron and Non-Ferrous Materials Exporters' Association (IDDMİB) and Hırdavat Sa ⁇ nayici and Businessmen's Association (HISİAD), drew attention to the danger bells that await both the sector they are in and the country's exports. Tecdelioğlu, who stated that the Turkish exporter could not keep a price not only in the Far East but also in the face of European competitors, lost the ⁇ Rus ⁇ ya and the Türk Cumhuriyetle ⁇ ri market to Çin ⁇ e. We have no chance to compete in undeveloped countries. Since the quality expectation is high in more developed countries than us, we cannot provide price competition.

The price of china is as much as our raw material price. The scissors in between said 50 ⁇ . According to Tecdelioğlu, who says that Turkey cannot compete with countries such as Italy and Poland, the reason for this is the exchange rate, which does not increase in parallel with inflation. Tecdelioğlu, who said ⁇ No profit left, we sell at a loss ⁇ , ⁇ Because I took a loan from the bank. In return, I made an export commitment. I have to take that sipa ⁇ riş to fulfill that commitment. Otherwise, we will be punished by the bank. Tecdelioğlu added that sa ⁇ nayici avoided investment due to the shrinkage of the sector.

⁇ Investment in Egypt finishes the industry in Turkey ⁇ ⁇

Reminding that many sectors from Turkey, especially textile, have invested in Egypt, Tecdelioğlu stated that investments have shifted especially in areas that do not require sub-industry. Tecdelioğlu noted that there are also outgoing investments in the hardware field, but that the production in this area, which requires sub-industry, will not be coke, and drew attention to a great risk.

Tec ⁇ delioğlu said: ⁇ A fab ⁇ rika would not be without sub-industry. Today the textile worker went to Egypt. But the technologist doesn't need sub-industry. Today, an automotive sector cannot go to Egypt and build a factory. It is not possible to invest in the hand tool sector Egypt ⁇ . There's no chipper. There's no sub-industry. It's not appropriate. But if our exporter invests in Egypt and tries to create his own sub-industry, then we will lose our industry.

⁇ Industrial clustering model according to provinces ⁇

Tecdelioğlu pointed out that instead of missing the industry to Egypt, Turkey should create its own industrial strategy, and if we do not have industrial strategy, we will miss the train. We need to get to the clustering mode. We should determine 81 sectors in 81 provinces and direct investments according to which sector stands out in which province. ⁇ said.

Tecdelioğ ⁇ lu, who also draws attention to the problem of qualified personnel in the industry, said that some companies that work on a world scale and have had the opportunity in the global market reduce shifts because they cannot find workers to work, they cannot get sipa ⁇ riş. Stating that the basis of master training is in small industry, Tecdelioğlu continued as follows: We need to establish small industries and train our masters here and send my main industries as incubators. State Planning Organization should be established. ⁇

⁇ We still have a 70-storey market in AB ⁇

On the other hand, Tecdelioğlu, who also explains the strategies for new markets in exports, has a strategy for Islamic countries as well as a strategy for distant countries. All of these are correctly planned strategic studies. On the one hand, there is the European Union. Still 55 ⁇ i of our exports are made to Avru ⁇ pa ⁇ ya, we cannot give up. There are still 70 times more markets than the goods we sell in AB ⁇ . In other words, if we can establish good logistics centers in AB ⁇ and create a strategy with its sub-base on a sectoral basis, we can still benefit much more from AB ⁇ ⁇ .

Support for 4 vocational high schools in 4 provinces in 2025

HISİAD has visited its colleagues in 6 provinces so far with the decision it has put into practice. The association, which also included the shortage of trained staff on its agenda, started to support vocational high schools for social responsibility purposes. The association, which first introduced machines to Ordu-Fatsa Gazi Vocational and Technical Ana ⁇ dolu High School, will support 4 different schools in 4 provinces in 2025. Çetin Tecdelioğlu, who invited all chambers of commerce and industry to be a part of vocational high schools, said ⁇ In this way, we ensure that both the career planning of the students, our students meet with the industry and the schools become a preferable school ⁇ .

⁇ Let's not make BRICS ⁇ bigger in our eyes ⁇

Commenting on Turkey's possible BRICS membership, Çetin Tecdelioğlu said that ⁇ BRICS ⁇ i is growing in our eyes. The BRICS is a political cluster, not an economic cluster. The BRICS does not even have an economic platform or a general secretariat among themselves. It's just a plan. On the other hand, 45 percent of the world society and 37 percent of the world economy said BRICS ⁇ in.

We should deepen in Afrika ⁇ without losing to ⁇ China ⁇

Pointing out that the African market is developing very fast, Tecdelioğlu noted that the consumption in Afrika ⁇ changed by 40 percent at a time with the gross national product of $ 3,000 being $ 4,000, and a difference of ⁇ Thousand dollars increases the consumption in the society by 40 percent at a time. It is an ideal market for Turkey with an increase of 40 percent, which creates a market with its packaging, plastic, glassware, door-window joinery. He emphasized that we need to deepen Afri ⁇ ka ⁇ without losing the Chinese ⁇ e, Indians ⁇ a and Europeans ⁇ a.

Logistics bring visa barrier to EU courts

Necmi STEEL 's

Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir Turan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Logistics Service Providers Association-LojiDer ⁇ in, which was established as a unique civil society organization in the logistics sector, stated that the v ⁇ ze barrier applied by EU countries to Turkish TIR drivers is contrary to the spirit of free ticare ⁇ t and said that they will start a new legal struggle in Europe.

It is planned to open visa cases in EU countries, especially Germany, where the biggest problems regarding visas are experienced. It is learned that interviews with expert law firms and well-known lawyers in this field are also continuing.

Stating that they had high-level interviews on the problems of the sector and new approaches in Ankara ⁇ da Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Ministry of Trade in July and August, Dr. Kayihan Ö.Turan pointed out that the negative impact of the cricket experienced in driver visas on the sector is increasing day by day and said that we are working to move the issue to European courts. Turan said: As ⁇ LojiDer, we value this issue with the perspective of preventing free trade within the framework of the criteria determined by the World Trade Organization.

In addition, we see that the process of handling and evaluating driver visas in the same way as normal tourist visas is completely contrary to the European Union norms on which the law is based. The investment price of our companies, which invest in 1 set of ⁇ drawer and semi-trailer ⁇ in the logistics sector, is 7-8 million TL today. The total investment cost of our member, who invests in a fleet of 10 sets, reaches high amounts such as 70-80 million TL. While this investment should add value to the country's economy and exports, it is unacceptable for drivers to remain idle due to the inability to obtain a visa.

Turan stated that visas that are not given to the drivers of vehicles carrying out international transportation are the biggest obstacle to the free realization of trade, and as ⁇ LojiDer, we are doing a detailed study in the direction of starting a judicial court in this direction. Based on the thesis that the visa issue has reached a stage contrary to the spirit of free trade, we are also meeting with expert lawyers in Europe on how to find a solution to the visa barrier. The issue is not to go to the judiciary, we want to make favorable decisions and bring a result to this issue in a way that sets a precedent for all EU countries.

Companies with large car parks are affected

Turan emphasized that another important problem of the sector is the cancellation of the rights of logistics companies with large vehicle parks to have fuel pump station in their own garages and expressed the following views;

⁇ I would like to share with you a decree that negatively affects our members who made national and international road transport last month. We have member companies with 10, 50, 150, 300, 500, 800 vehicles in their fleet.

These members have invested in fuel pump stations in their own garage areas to be given only to their own vehicles within the framework of the right granted to them in the past period and have the opportunity to make improvements in fuel costs, which have a high percentage for transportation services cost items, by purchasing bulk fuel only to fuel their own vehicles. Oil Market Kanu ⁇ 's 9th in the year 5015. In the seventh paragraph of the article, the rights of our members were revoked with a change made by the Decree Law in July. But we don't fully understand why. Our association member companies and sector companies will support every step that our delegate wants to take under the name ⁇ denetim ⁇ .

However, a few bad examples and actions should not cause our companies that do their job correctly and create employment by investing to be negatively affected. Our work continues to revise this decision, which will be implemented on January 1, 2025 ⁇ . We hope that the work we will do will be positive and that we will create a solution that meets the expectations of all stakeholders in this regard. ⁇

Authorization documents and unfair competition environment

Stating that another issue that has been talked about in the sector for many years is unfair competition, Dr. Kayıhan Ö. Turan, regarding the subject of authority documents, we are active in an ecosystem where logistics services are provided with authorization certificates obtained at high prices. However, due to the fact that the audit is not at the desired level, activities carried out without documents cannot be prevented. As a result of this, our certified companies are trying to continue their business in an unfair competition environment. ⁇ said.

We are the new center of attraction of the sector

Describing the Logistics Service Providers Association ⁇ (LojiDer) as the new center of attraction of the sector, Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir Turan, ⁇ We have members in 7 regions and 26 provinces of our country. At the end of the 6-month period, our number of members reached 298 ⁇ as a legal entity. The 2023 turnover of our members is 1.84 billion US dollars, we provide employment to 8 thousand 170 people, and 18 percent of the employment is made up of our women. We have a busy working pace in order to add value to our sector and our country.

We became the first NGO from Turkey to become a member of the European Logistics Association ELA ⁇ , which has a 40-year history involving 28 countries with its international dimension. The NGO, which has a history of 27 years and is a member of TAPA ⁇ or Türkiye ⁇ structured in 3 regions in the world, became LojiDer again.

⁇ It will open a new horizon with the highway train ⁇

Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir Turan, ⁇ In the workshop we attended in Ankara ⁇ in August regarding the regulation that our heavy transportation sector has been waiting for many years, the road train application we propose with an especially innovative approach will be a seminal application for our sector. We are excited that this innovative application will be implemented in 2025. ⁇ With the highway train ⁇ , a very important saving will be provided for the transportations to be made between the loading areas close to the highways and the unloading neighborhoods close to the highways ⁇ .

Latin bridge to Turkish companies

It has been two years since the Ministry of Trade announced the new route it has drawn in exports under the title ⁇ Far Countries Strategy ⁇ . In this context, it was aimed to increase exports to 18 countries with an average distance of 8,500 kilometers (USA, Australia, Brazil, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Republic of South Africa, South Korea, India, Japan, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Chile, Thailand, Vietnam) to more than $ 80 billion by quadrupling. In the new strategy, which also entered the 2023 OVP ⁇ , it was underlined that Turkey's average export range will be increased to 4,744 kilometers.

Last week we were in Mexico, one of the major economies among 18 countries in this strategy. Under the roof of TUSID, the leading companies of the industrial kitchen sector made an appearance in ABASTUR ⁇ a, one of the oldest fairs of the capital Mexico City. As we learned from TUSID President Bekir Topuz ⁇ , one of the most satisfactory trade fairs has been held recently. Turkish companies participating in the fair came together at the dinner organized by TIBA ⁇ on the second day of the opening.

TIBA is a global company of Spanish origin and known for its logistics network in Spanish-speaking countries. We learned that in March 2024, that is, a very short time ago, he made his first investment in Turkey. Turkey has entrusted its operation to Kadir Kaya ⁇ ya, one of the experienced managers of the sector.

OBJECTIVE TO SUPPORT EXPORT

Kadir Kaya paid close attention to the managers of the Turkish kitchen industry companies he hosted. Turkey's Mexican Trade Attaché Zahide Karaca Çoban ⁇ a, who attended the dinner, also talked about her long-term goals. In his evaluation, Hürriyet ⁇ e underlined that the Ministry of Trade wants to be with Turkish companies, especially in Spanish-speaking markets, within the scope of ⁇ Far Countries Strategy ⁇ .

According to his information, TIBA is a 50-year-old company, but the Romeu Group, of which he is a subsidiary, was founded in Valencia, Spain, 150 years ago. At a turnover of 1.5 billion ⁇ , there is the performance of 25 countries in which it operates. ⁇ TIBA It was a company well known by the sector, we convinced investment in Turkey ⁇ said Kaya, continued as follows: ⁇ We are influential in Spanish-speaking countries. With the investment of Turkey, they have established a bridge in the area from Akdeniz ⁇ to Büyük Okyanus ⁇ . It has more than 3,000 employees. They make purchases in the markets they enter, and in Turkey, there is no such situation for now, it may be in the future. Our goal is sector leadership in Turkey ⁇ . ⁇

20 PERCENT PAY FROM 250 THOUSAND TEU ⁇ D

Kadir Kaya stated that the annual logistic capacity between Turkey and Latin America is still 250 thousand TEU. Stating that this figure will increase with the Remote Countries Strategy, Kaya said, ⁇ We are the target for 20 percent of this cake. For this, exports, which are currently very few, need to be increased first. With this awareness, as TIBA, we plan to be with Turkish companies in Spanish-speaking countries.

This plan includes bringing together Latin companies and Turkish companies that have already been working in the region for many years, and being a ⁇ commerce ambassador in a sense. Kaya said this: ⁇ We will bring Turkish companies together with possible customers in their sector. We will inform Turkish companies about the situation of the same sector in the target country, its interest in Turkey and its potential. We'll conduct research. For example, I'm going to four Mexican cities next week. We will inform our 20 customers there about Turkish companies in their fields. We will discuss new opportunities.

WE WILL OFFER TRANSPORT ADVANTAGE

TIBA offices in 12 countries in Latin America seem to hear the name of Turkey frequently from now on. Explaining that they will transfer the local experience to Turkey, Kaya said that they will offer advantages in logistics, which is among the important costs, to the companies that will export to the region. Kaya, ⁇ We offer a price advantage of 10 percent because we carry heavy transportation to the region. We still do 1,000 loads a year. There are a lot of port alternatives. We will also transfer our experience in procedures to Turkish companies.
