On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of War confirmed that it has awarded a five-year contract of $9.7 billion (\u20ac8.3 billion) for Dell Federal Systems\u2019e Pentagon\u2019a supplies, the government-focused unit of Dell Technologies\u2019.<\/p>\n

As part of the Basic Enterprise Technology Agreement (CETA), a Pentagon-wide Microsoft licensing and software purchasing framework, the company will provide and manage Microsoft software licenses, cloud subscriptions, and on-premises software licenses across the U.S. military, intelligence agencies, and the U.S. Coast Guard.<\/p>\n

Dell Technologies\u2019in shares, Wednesday's session about 305 $ approximately before the market due to the announcement made after closing at the level of %5 increments to 320 $\u2019a is up.<\/p>\n

The company will announce earnings for the first quarter of this year on Thursday, with analysts from Zacks Investment Research\u2019 reporting annual approx. %It will estimate revenues of around $35 billion (\u20ac30 billion), representing 50 growth.<\/p>\n

According to Kirsten Davies\u2019, Chief Information Officer of the US DoW, who briefed reporters at Pentagon\u2019, CETA\u2019 is expected to save the ministry approximately $422 million (EUR 360.9 million) per year by combining fragmented technology budgets in military services into a single purchasing structure.<\/p>\n

The contract was awarded less than three weeks after U.S. President Donald Trump \u2019 stopped at an event at the White House in \u2019 and urged Americans to go out and buy a Dell. They're great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davies and U.S. Navy Chief Information Officer Barry Tanner made it clear that the award follows a competitive process.<\/p>\n

All of the vendors were assessed based on competition, GSA program pricing, and the department's overall value chain, \u201c said.<\/p>\n

Dell has a longstanding commercial partnership with Microsoft and is one of the largest recipients of Windows licenses. The contract, however, culminates in a visibly harmonized process between CEO Michael Dell and the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

December 2025\u2019te Dell and his wife Susan appear at the White House \u2019 alongside Trump\u2019, announcing a $6.25 billion (\u20ac5.3 billion) donation to \u201cTrump Accounts, a tax-advantaged investment program for children under \u201dTek's Great Beautiful Bill.<\/p>\n

This commitment will provide $250 (\u20ac214) to nearly 25 million American children aged 10 and under living in households with an average income of less than $150,000 (\u20ac129,000), and is described by Invest America, the nonprofit organization that led the initiative, as the largest ever private commitment to American children.<\/p>\n

Michael Dell also sits on the Trump\u2019 Council of Science and Technology Advisors, which provides information on public policies related to the economy, public health, national security, energy, and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n

The convergence of federal tender decisions that followed with the approvals of the public presidency is also the subject of scrutiny beyond Dell\u2019.<\/p>\n

Financial statements released this month by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics showed that investment accounts associated with President Donald Trump\u2019 owned shares of Dell Technologies in the first quarter of 2026\u2019. The statements show that some of the acquisitions were made before Trump\u2019 publicly praised the company at an event at the White House\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Trump Organization said the accounts were independently managed by third-party financial institutions, and neither Trump\u2019 nor his family directed individual transactions.<\/p>\n

Responding to questions about Trump\u2019's financial statements at a White House briefing last week, Vice President J.D. Vance said the president's investments were conducted by independent asset advisors and rejected proposals that Trump\u2019 personally directed individual stock trading. Vance, \u201c, who doesn't trade these stocks himself, said \u201d.<\/p>\n

Commentators and ethical critics also pointed to trading activities involving companies such as Intel and Palantir, whose shares have moved sharply from time to time following statements made by Trump\u2019 to the public or announcements linked to the government's technology spending.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon said the Dell\u2019in selection took place after a competitive acquisition process.<\/p>\n
