The three-day 18th edition brings together representatives from the worlds of politics, business and academia to discuss the most pressing challenges facing the Polish and European economies. The European Economic Congress is held in Katowice\u2019.<\/p>\n
One of the main topics of this year is the role of the Polish \u2019 in the G20\u2019 and what its presence means for the future development of the country.<\/p>\n
The discussion became even more important after a meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors on April 16 in \u2019, Washington, attended by \u2019da Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Doma\u0144ski and Polish Central Bank Governor Adam Glapi\u0144ski\u2019nin.<\/p>\n
This was Poland's first participation in this format of \u2019's G20 talks.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the \u2019 panel at the \u201cG20\u2019 in Katowice\u201d, Poland, Doma\u0144ski said the country's presence in the group reflects decades of economic transformation.<\/p>\n
\u201cPoland is no longer just an observer of global processes; Today we're helping shape their direction, \u201d said.<\/p>\n
PolandBoth \u2019's Central and Eastern European perspective and \u201cson's most successful economic transformation in 40 years brought the \u201d experience, he added.<\/p>\n
According to Doma\u0144ski\u2019, the voice of \u201cPoland\u2019 is listened to very carefully.\u201d<\/p>\n
The minister also noted that the discussions at Washington\u2019 were dominated by tensions in the Middle East\u2019 and increased energy and fuel costs.<\/p>\n
International Monetary Fund\u2019, Poland\u2019 %With GDP growth exceeding 3\u2019, the European Union said despite global uncertainty, the Polish economy remains stable and resilient, citing estimates that \u2019 will be the fastest growing major economy.<\/p>\n
He added that participation in the G20\u2019 strengthens Poland\u2019's position in global debates.<\/p>\n
\u201cG20\u2019den PolandWe return with the belief that \u2019's voice is heard very carefully,\u201d said.<\/p>\n
The panel also featured TVN Warner Bros. Discovery General Manager Kasia Kieli stressed that presence alone is not enough.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust because we're invited to the table doesn't mean we have a place there; We are earning this place by contributing, \u201d said.<\/p>\n
According to him, G20 participation offers an opportunity to build a coherent narrative about Poland that goes beyond the economy to include culture, sports and new technologies.<\/p>\n
Professor Piotr Wachowiak, rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, said \u2019 could serve as a bridge between different parts of the world.<\/p>\n
At the same time, \u201c described G20 participation as both a great achievement and a great responsibility, stressing the need to further strengthen the economy and institutions, warning against complacency.<\/p>\n
The energy transition was also an important issue at the congress.<\/p>\n
Doma\u0144ski stated that energy prices will be important in terms of competitiveness in the coming years, noting the role played by nuclear energy as a stable component of the system, stressing that investments should be evaluated primarily in terms of cost.<\/p>\n
