Governor of Rize: Construction of Turkey's fourth largest logistics port continues

Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş said that the construction of Turkey's fourth largest logistics port in İyidere district is continuing by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Baydaş gave information about the ongoing investments in the city at the meeting held in the governor's office.

During his visit to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ⁇ a Rize ⁇ , Baydaş stated that the governorship building no longer responds to the need, and we presented the project of the new governorship building to him. And this is on the filler, and there's corrosion on the floor. We hope to renovate our Rize Governorship building. We hope to start next year. I hope we will include the new government mansion in the service of the city and in the coming years. ⁇ said.

Baydaş also made the following assessment regarding the Logistics Port Project under construction by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in İyidere ⁇ :

One of the biggest issues of this city is the logistic port. It's a topic we should never drop off the agenda. Turkey's fourth largest logistics port is being built in our city. One of the most important steps in the efficient operation of this port is that there are ways to feed the port. The Ovit Tunnel is a matter of making the connection roads of İkizdere and Erzurum located behind it. It is possible that the port has a railway connection. The railway line connecting Asya ⁇ to Avrupa ⁇ and Çin ⁇ i to Karadeniz ⁇ must have a logistic port connection with the Ovit Tunnel so that we can use that logistic port in a healthy way with a more advanced vision. ⁇

Governor Baydaş stated that the Kurtuluş Primary School, which was determined to be corrosion, will be demolished and rebuilt, and the demolition procedures have started. We'll go back to school in the same place. Our students will go to Doğuş Çay Primary School until the school is built. ⁇
