Dell signs $9.7 billion contract with Pentagon a few weeks after Trump ’ says go out and buy “

On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of War confirmed that it has awarded a five-year contract of $9.7 billion (€8.3 billion) for Dell Federal Systems’e Pentagon’a supplies, the government-focused unit of Dell Technologies’.

As part of the Basic Enterprise Technology Agreement (CETA), a Pentagon-wide Microsoft licensing and software purchasing framework, the company will provide and manage Microsoft software licenses, cloud subscriptions, and on-premises software licenses across the U.S. military, intelligence agencies, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Dell Technologies’in shares, Wednesday's session about 305 $ approximately before the market due to the announcement made after closing at the level of %5 increments to 320 $’a is up.

The company will announce earnings for the first quarter of this year on Thursday, with analysts from Zacks Investment Research’ reporting annual approx. %It will estimate revenues of around $35 billion (€30 billion), representing 50 growth.

According to Kirsten Davies’, Chief Information Officer of the US DoW, who briefed reporters at Pentagon’, CETA’ is expected to save the ministry approximately $422 million (EUR 360.9 million) per year by combining fragmented technology budgets in military services into a single purchasing structure.

The contract was awarded less than three weeks after U.S. President Donald Trump ’ stopped at an event at the White House in ’ and urged Americans to go out and buy a Dell. They're great.”

Davies and U.S. Navy Chief Information Officer Barry Tanner made it clear that the award follows a competitive process.

All of the vendors were assessed based on competition, GSA program pricing, and the department's overall value chain, “ said.

Dell has a longstanding commercial partnership with Microsoft and is one of the largest recipients of Windows licenses. The contract, however, culminates in a visibly harmonized process between CEO Michael Dell and the Trump administration.

December 2025’te Dell and his wife Susan appear at the White House ’ alongside Trump’, announcing a $6.25 billion (€5.3 billion) donation to “Trump Accounts, a tax-advantaged investment program for children under ”Tek's Great Beautiful Bill.

This commitment will provide $250 (€214) to nearly 25 million American children aged 10 and under living in households with an average income of less than $150,000 (€129,000), and is described by Invest America, the nonprofit organization that led the initiative, as the largest ever private commitment to American children.

Michael Dell, January 2026’da Washington’da ‘Trump AccountsTalk at ’'s opening

Michael Dell also sits on the Trump’ Council of Science and Technology Advisors, which provides information on public policies related to the economy, public health, national security, energy, and emerging technologies.

The convergence of federal tender decisions that followed with the approvals of the public presidency is also the subject of scrutiny beyond Dell’.

Financial statements released this month by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics showed that investment accounts associated with President Donald Trump’ owned shares of Dell Technologies in the first quarter of 2026’. The statements show that some of the acquisitions were made before Trump’ publicly praised the company at an event at the White House’.

The Trump Organization said the accounts were independently managed by third-party financial institutions, and neither Trump’ nor his family directed individual transactions.

Responding to questions about Trump’'s financial statements at a White House briefing last week, Vice President J.D. Vance said the president's investments were conducted by independent asset advisors and rejected proposals that Trump’ personally directed individual stock trading. Vance, “, who doesn't trade these stocks himself, said ”.

Commentators and ethical critics also pointed to trading activities involving companies such as Intel and Palantir, whose shares have moved sharply from time to time following statements made by Trump’ to the public or announcements linked to the government's technology spending.

The Pentagon said the Dell’in selection took place after a competitive acquisition process.

Even so, the timing of the award is likely to be the subject of a re-examination by ethical observers and political critics, as well as Trump’'s public praise for the company and financial statements showing investments linked to Dell’.

IRS deal blocks tax audits targeting Trump and family members

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice quietly released an additional file on the deal between U.S. President Donald Trump and the IRS.

The one-page document came a day after authorities announced a separate nine-page deal linked to Trump’'s $10 billion (€8.6 billion) lawsuit against the federal agency in January over the leak of its tax returns.

According to the application, the IRS has forever banned and banned the U.S. president from prosecuting or pursuing “ and related trusts and businesses to review all ” claims [“] appeals […].

The waiver applies to all tax returns submitted prior to the agreement's official entry into force on Monday.

Additional filing of the Trump-IRS deal

The appendix, dated Tuesday, was signed by Acting U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche. The document does not include the signatures of IRS officials or lawyers who currently represent Trump’.

Blanche was not among those who signed the original settlement agreement announced the day before. This document was signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stanley Woodward, IRS Commissioner Frank Bisignano, and Trump’'s lawyer Daniel Epstein.

The U.S. Department of Justice did not explain why the waiver was not included in the agreement announced on Monday and why it was not signed by the same people; Just as is customary in “ treaties, both parties have fulfilled disclaimers on various claims that may be put forward or brought forward […]” said.

The statement also said that if any of the “Parties simply went back and tried to initiate more negative claims that could have been pursued earlier, there would be little point in resolving many important claims.”

“This is only about current controls, not the future.”

The newly announced application significantly expanded the scope of the original agreement and sparked renewed debate over the independence of the IRS’ and the scope of its executive mandate.

‘Anti-Arms Fund’ escalates political backlash

Before this contentious addition, the case had already sparked significant controversy because Trump was actually suing a federal agency that ultimately fell under the scope of the executive branch he controlled as president.

Although the IRS operates with a degree of corporate independence subordinate to the U.S. Treasury Department's ’, critics argued that the case created an unprecedented dynamic when an incumbent president filed a lawsuit against an institution overseen by his administration.

Concerns intensified after the administration negotiated a deal that not only solved the case, but created a $1.776 billion (€1.52 billion) “ Anti-Weapons Fund, which now imposes sweeping restrictions on future IRS actions linked to Trump and his family, but is also funded by taxpayers' money.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, ’, the fund is designed to provide compensation to people who believe they have been subjected to politically motivated investigations or prosecutions.

Democrats and government ethics groups criticized the structure and control of the fund while maintaining the ambiguity of governing provisions, while Blanche defended the legality of the deal in a congressional interrogation on Tuesday.

The deal intensified scrutiny of how the Trump administration handled legal disputes, particularly with federal agencies linked to the president's finances and tax affairs, at a time when allegations of insider trading were also growing.

ADER Deputy Leader Kadooğlu Çifçi: ⁇ Fuel sector problems should be solved with common sense ⁇

Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi, Deputy Leader of the Association of Fuel Main Distribution Companies (ADER), brought the department's problems and analysis proposals to the language at the Power Hill held in Gaziantep.

Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Metropolitan Municipality and Gaziantep Fuel Dealers Association (GABDER) held within the scope of the Power Peak, ⁇ Overview of the Fuel Department ⁇ Speaking at the panel with bets ADER Deputy Leader Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi, stating that they are doing a troublesome job, ⁇ Fuel business is a difficult segment. We are trying to supply uninterrupted fuel to our country from all over the world. In addition, we are a very valuable department that tries to provide the best service and the most beautiful retailing 24/7 at our stations. But unfortunately, we are doing this job with very low profitability and in an environment where the competition is so heated.

Drawing attention to the problems of the fuel sector, ADER Deputy Leader Nergiz Kadooğlu Çifçi said that public and private branch cooperation is very valuable in the analysis of issues. Emphasizing that they are always on the side of common sense, Kadooğlu Çifçi said, ⁇ We always think that public, non-governmental organizations and private sector should support each other by meeting on the common ground. The decision of our regulators is invaluable. We always argue that the decisions taken should be analyzed. In each decision, the effect should be analyzed so that when this work is reflected to the players of the department, the mishaps are minimized.

⁇ Delay in ship supply ⁇

Reminding that they had some problems that negatively affected the department at the beginning of 2023, Kadooğlu Çifçi said that the problem was solved with the synergy created with the common mind. Kadooğlu Çifçi, who said that there have been delays related to ship supply in fuel shipment in recent periods, ⁇ We are facing some problems even though we try not to make our dealers feel this problem we are experiencing and to provide the most adequate service. While we are experiencing these problems, we also ask for the following basis, as if, in such a violent period, a reinforcement can be provided for national stock keeping in the past? Because today we are going through a thoughtful period as a department. Another issue we have as a branch is our expenses, which are our bleeding wounds. The costs of both distribution companies and our dealers are increasing every day. We're experiencing a brain drain in the department. Unfortunately, we are not able to attract well-educated young people to the department and we lose the experienced managers in the sector to the other departments. When this is the case, we can neither rejoice in the 21 percent growth in fuel oil nor can we develop work related to the stable going motorine. We have become a branch that has been overwhelmed and worn out with all the operation works.

⁇ National vehicle recognition system starts a new process for us ⁇

Kadooğlu Nergiz, who introduced what he sees as an application that will affect the branch of the National Vehicle Recognition System, stated that the public, NGOs and private sector do not meet at a common point in this bet, and our knowledge about the ⁇ National Vehicle Recognition System is still very incomplete and our belief in the possibility of this work is very low. We see a high probability that the cost increases will be reflected in the price of the latest consumer. In the last 15 years, fuel sales have increased by 50 percent and diesel and LPG by 125 percent. Moreover, despite the support of alternative fuels, this increase was achieved. These demand increases were achieved as a result of the studies carried out with the applied programs and branch resources. On top of all this effort, the National Vehicle Recognition System is starting a new process for us. We say it is starting, but now we have not witnessed its installation at a station, we do not know if there is any test for LPG. I mean, we don't exactly have an opinion. With this application, an additional cost of $20,000 per station is mentioned. We are talking about an investment of 2 thousand, 2 thousand 300 liras per vehicle. We are talking about the cost of approximately 10 billion TL for 12,500 stations and 16 billion TL for 8 million commercial vehicles. In addition, in the new year, these costs will increase at the rate of inflation. We think that it is not fair that this will increase at the annual inflation rate within three months after the announced prices. We're not so sure our department can handle this. To be honest, whoever does this job, whenever it is done, it is a huge investment. Meat does not leave the nail. We are a distribution company and dealers as a whole. If there is a cost added to which side, the other side will be affected. For this reason, we attach great importance to the fact that all stakeholders in the department act with a common mind for this kind of application, and we make the necessary effort to be positive for the benefit of our segment.

Kadooğlu Çifçi, who stated that they always support the effort with the unregistered, drew attention to the problems caused by the increase in the credit card usage rates in the sector and the burdens experienced with transportation costs, and gave information about ADER ⁇ 's analysis proposals.

In the panel moderated by GABDER President Mehmet Ergün Demir ⁇ in, Energy Market Regulatory Authority Deputy Leader Yılmaz Tamer, TOBB Turkey Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Assembly President Ahmet Erdem, Petroleum Works Employer Union President İmran Okumuş and Turkish Fuel Dealers Oil and Gas Companies Employer Union President Murat Bilgin also brought their opinions and proposals about the issues related to the sector to the language. ⁇ GAZİANTEP
