Google dedicates $120 million to AI education

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has set up a $120 million global AI training fund for artificial intelligence, which he describes as the most transformative technology ever.

⁇ Artificial intelligence is the most transformative technology ever realized ⁇

Speaking at the UN Future Summit, Google CEO Sundar Pichai described artificial intelligence as the most transformative technology to date.

Pichai highlighted four broad opportunities he sees for artificial intelligence and sustainable development. These include helping people access information in their own language, accelerating scientific discoveries, warnings about climate disasters, and supporting economic progress.

⁇ Artificial intelligence carries deep fraud risks ⁇

Pichai acknowledged that artificial intelligence also presents risks, such as deep fraud, but did not mention the impact of artificial intelligence on the climate.

He added that he wants to avoid a global AI split and that Google ⁇ , in partnership with local nonprofits and NGOs, has created a $120 million Global AI Opportunity Fund ⁇ , which will make AI education and training available to communities around the world.

On whether artificial intelligence will replace entry-level programmers, Sundar Pichai stated that this problem is valid in many areas, while the most likely scenario is that artificial intelligence will help people do their jobs more efficiently. Pichai said he believes more people will be programming in the future.

⁇ Data centers increase energy needs ⁇

Emphasizing that the energy need for data centers has increased in the process of growing Google's operations, the CEO stated that this growth makes it difficult to meet energy demand in the short term, but he is more optimistic in the medium and long term; because with the energy needs of data centers, huge investments have been made in the development of new energy sources, he added.
