The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said in a statement on his social media account that he strongly condemned the transfer of Iranian-made ballistic missiles to Russia.
Stating that this is a direct threat to the security of Europe, Borrell gave a new sanction message by using the expressions that we will respond quickly with new measures against ⁇ İran ⁇ 's ballistic missile and drone programs.
The EU's sanctions against Iran, due to human rights violations, expansionist nuclear energy activities and military support to Russia, entered into force in 2011 and were extended until 13 April 2025.
