No more clues: Just Eat Takeaway.com launches Dublin’de drone delivery

Just Eat Takeaway.com’ has partnered with Irish drone delivery operator Manna Drones Ltd to launch the new service in Dublin, Ireland.

Dutch multinational online food delivery firm “ said in a statement that customers will have the option to receive their orders from participating partners via drone’s, which will be deployed from local distribution centers operated by Manna”.

They added: “After the food is loaded onto the drone’, customers will receive their order in as little as three minutes.”

The partnership aims to bring drone delivery to other markets later. Just Eat Takeaway.com operates in 17 countries, including Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Just Eat Takeaway.com is going through a tough time. After being removed from the London Stock Exchange in December, the company announced in February that it had been acquired by technology investor Prosus in an all-cash deal worth a total of €4.1 billion.

Online delivery companies are increasingly opting to automate their services and reduce their dependence on temporary staff, the so-called temporary staff, whose status and rights are often questioned.

Just Eat Takeaway.com says drone’s will improve operational efficiency and offer faster delivery times during peak hours.

In ’, Walmart and Amazon have already launched similar services.

Avrupa’da, another food delivery brand and a subsidiary of Berlin-based Delivery Hero’, Foodora Group, Norway and Sweden’te is testing deliveries using robots and drone’s. Sweden’te worked with Swedish network provider Tele2 AB on this project.

Foodora aims to make GPS-based robot home deliveries in Scandinavian countries by 2025 and 2026.
